How to hook it up to your existing layout

Christmas tree station stops are easy. Just attach two wires from your transformer directly to the StationMaster, and two more wires from the StationMaster to the track. No isolators or engine modifications are necessary. Your train will slow-down, pause and accelerate at every location where a train sensor is placed under the track! And you really don't need a Christmas tree to run this hookup! Multiple laps can be programmed so the train runs around a few times before stopping too. For additional station stops, just add a train sensor at every location where a Decelerate/Pause/Accelerate sequence is desired.

This hookup can also be done without sensors or magnets by creating a blocked section using isolators. See the hookup manual below for information. The StationMaster can detect a train on the block and then perform the slow down, pause, and accelerate operation. Any train, any size, absolutely no modifications! How could realistic station stops be any easier?

Block control is also easy with a StationMaster. Two trains can share the same loop of track. One train will decelerate and wait for the second train to reach a track sensor. In this way, the trains will be spaced apart from each other regardless of their relative speeds. (Requires 2 sensors and 2 magnets)

The StationMaster is designed for track-side outdoor use if placed inside a Rubbermaid or similar container. This can easily be hidden inside a model building or station and looks great in the RRC Electroinics Barn!

Features and Capabilities:

With the StationMaster, you can just hook up one DECEL sensor and stop at a station, or use the programming features to do some AMAZING things: (Please read the manual for additional information)

• Two color LED indicators show what the train is doing
• 10 AMP load capability. (Train rating NOT transformer rating which can be much higher)
• State-of-the-art digital controller featuring MOSFET, embedded micro-controller, and surface-mount technology.
• Full adjustments for DECELERATE, DELAY and ACCELERATE to accommodate any size railroad.
• Short Circuit Detection protects electronics from accidental damage when train wrecks occur.
• "Top Speed" adjustment available forl fixed DC voltage sources. (Expensive variable speed transformers are nice but not necessary, just use a cheap fixed 12V DC power source and use the top speed dial to set the cruising speed of the train)
• Output signal. This is for YardMaster control or triggering anything else. (Station sound effects, signal lights, X-10 modules, another StationMaster, etc.)
• Exact train stopping position allows every train to stop at exactly the same position.
• Programmable station stop time delays can be up to 30 minutes, or triggered from an external switch. (Maybe a doorbell, motion sensor or triggered by the hands of a clock..)
• "ACCEL" sensor allows easy block control.
• "Multiple Lap" programmable will allow many loops before the station stop if desired.
• Self adjusting deceleration mode allows it to just work!
• Self-Adjusting Deceleration can work on up to 5 different trains running concurrently, with each train realistically slowing down and stopping at a preciese location. Fast trains and slow trains all decelrate with their own optimum deceleration profiles.
• Train detection feature can do station stops without using any sensors or magnets! Any train can run on your Railroad straight out of the box.
• On board Direction Relay can allow for alternating trains at a siding with the trains running in opposite directions.
• Can operate Back-and-Forth Reversing Operations with incredible realism.
