Two train REVERSING LOOPS with a passing siding.

Description:

Two trains run simultaneously between two reversing loops.
One of the trains will slow down and stop in the upper siding while the other train passes by. Shortly, the stopped train will slowly begin to accelerate.
Both trains will now be running on the layout at the same time.
Finally, the train that "passed by" will enter the upper siding, show down, and stop. The first train will then pass this one.



This track configuration allows two trains to be run in a very realistic manner. Each of the trains will gracefully slow-down and pause until the other train passes by in the opposite direction. Your actual track layout can be as big as you like. We have shown only the most basic track layout. You can have the loops separated by hundreds of feet if you like.

Wire to wire hookups:

Two hookups are available. The spring return (turnout) hookup uses Switching Interface Modules, and the powered turnouts use SwitchMasters.
